OMVS Unveils New Website Detailing Solar Initiative

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- On the Move Systems (OTCBB: OMVS) unveiled a new website this week detailing its new solar product development initiative.

The new website focuses on OMVS’ collaboration with university research partners to develop cutting-edge, printable inkjet solar cells designed to be easier and more affordable to apply to a variety of energy applications. The company expects to use the new initiative as a platform for rapid expansion into the world’s fastest-growing energy sector.

“Solar technology is on the cusp of a major tipping point, when the production and use of solar cells becomes cost-competitive with traditional fuels such as oil and gas,” said OMVS CEO Chet Gutowsky. “The worldwide demand for easy, affordable solar solutions is at an all-time high and growing, and we are moving aggressively to position OMVS at the center of the next generation of solar technology.”

Driven by Federal tax credits, declining technology costs and growing environmental awareness, the U.S. solar power market grew by an unprecedented 67 percent in 2010. Solar power use in other developed nations is rising sharply, as well. The continued growth has helped to spark a global boom in clean energy investment. Bloomberg New Energy Finance reported earlier this year that new investment has risen 22 percent from 2010 to $41.7 billion.

“We believe that solar technology developers are the new oilmen of the 21st Century,” Gutowsky said. “We’re committed to seizing this opportunity to get in on the ground floor of the global clean-energy revolution.”
