| Vestas receives four orders totalling 198 MW in China |

Vestas has received four orders from a major Chinese independent power producer totalling 198 MW. The orders consist of 116 units of V52-850 kW wind turbines and 50 units of V90-1.8/2.0 MW wind turbines for the Guangdong and Shandong provinces, respectively. The orders include wind turbine delivery, transportation, installation and commissioning, a VestasOnline® Business SCADA solution as well as a five-year service and maintenance agreement. Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to start during the second and third quarters of 2010. At the customer's request, further details about the orders cannot be disclosed. “These orders mark an important step for Vestas in growing our long-term strategic partnership with this customer,” says Jens Tommerup, President of Vestas China. “We have been working closely with this customer on wind turbine siting as well as project planning, and we are ready to provide them with full technical support in the execution phase as well. The fact that we have a strong technical team, which is capable of providing thorough, comprehensive and expert assistance to our customers, is a decisive factor for a successful cooperation with our partners.” As of 31 December 2009, Vestas had an accumulated installed capacity of more than 2,000 MW in China, which makes Vestas one of the largest players in the Chinese wind energy market. Vestas installed its first turbine in China in 1986. The above orders do not affect Vestas' expectations for 2010, ref. company announcement No. 3/2010 of 10 February 2010.
