With the continuously strong demand on the Europe/West Central Asia trade and the focus on growth in the dynamic Mediterranean/Black Sea region, Maersk Line hereby announces the reintroduction of the ME3 service.

After the temporary withdrawal in 2009, we will yet again serve the market with a dedicated product for the Mediterranean - Middle East/India trade. While offering best in class transit times, the new ME3 is designed for direct Turkey coverage with a direct call in Ambarli.

ME3 rotation is as follows:
Pipavav (India) – Jawaharlal Nehru (India) – Jebel Ali (U.A.E) – Salalah (Oman) – Port Said (Egypt) – Ambarli (Turkey) – Gioia Tauro (Italy) – Port Said (Egypt) – Jebel Ali (U.A.E)

First effective vessels in the new rotation are:

• Westbound: Nedlloyd Asia 6LF/1006 departing Nhava Sheva (India) on 11 April
• Eastbound: Nedlloyd Asia 6LF/1009 departing Ambarli (Turkey) on 30 April

In connection with the above, we will further implement the following enhancements to the ME1 product. Gioia Tauro and Port Said will be removed, since now covered on ME3, and instead Algeciras and Aqaba will be added eastbound. The direct North Europe to Aqaba connection will be both unique and also the fastest in the market.

First effective vessels in the new rotation are:

• Westbound: Maersk Kithira 8KF/1006 departing Jebel Ali (U.A.E) 8 April
• Eastbound: Maersk Kimi 8JF/1007 departing Felixstowe (United Kingdom)18 April

With the upcoming changes our customers will likewise experience improvements to our Intra Middle East services as they will provide more frequent departures from West and North India to Jebel Ali and the ports served from there. Similarly we will be able to offer an additional weekly sailing from the Gulf area to Pipavav and Jawaharlal Nehru. The addition of Aqaba to the ME1 rotation will enable a fast and direct service from Jordan to Jebel Ali and West and North India.
