The Havyard 832 CD design ”Havila Borg” is the third offshore vessel delivered from Havyard Tomrefjord this year. The shipyard has one newbuild in order for delivery end 2010. This is a Havyard 515 design which is a new generation coastal fishing vessel. Havyard Tomrefjord is specializing in building fishing vessels and smaller offshore vessels.

In addition to shipbuilding Havyard Tomrefjord has been successful utilizing its capacity for repair and conversion jobs. The shipyard has good facilities and a skilled workforce which are experienced in offering and executing smaller and bigger jobs efficiently. The shipyard’s floating dock has capacity to take vessels up to 100 m long and 18 m wide and lifts up to 3500 tonnes.

We experience a lot of customers coming to us demanding our services and the general feedback is that they are satisfied with the job we do. In addition to the repair and conversion jobs we also have in-house capacity to do the necessary calculations and engineering to get the job done. This is our strength and makes us competitive and enables us to have good control of the whole process. We believe this business area will contribute to securing a sound activity at Havyard Tomrefjord also in the challenging market we see now and for a period ahead Øyvind Sævik, Managing Director at Havyard Tomrefjord AS replies.

The vessel is designed by Havyard Design AS in Fosnavåg, Norway. Havyard 832 CD is a medium to large size Platform Supply Vessel which fulfils the new requirements from the market. The design has more cargo capacity than existing designs, energy optimized diesel electric propulsion system and fulfils DnV Clean Design.

This is the third Havyard 832 CD which is already delivered and there is another six vessels under construction at different Norwegian shipyards.

In addition to the Havyard 832, Havyard Design AS has developed several types of AHTS, PSV, subsea maintenance vessels, diving vessels and construction vessels. Several vessels of different types of Havyard design^TM is under construction at shipyards in Norway, India, China and Singapore.
