Gunnar H. Hide has been appointed as the new managing director of Ulstein Power & Control. Hide has a solid maritime industry background that includes management positions atAcel, ABB, Stadt Automation, and IKM Group. "Gunnar Hide has extensive knowledge and long experience from the maritime industry," says Ulstein Group CEO Gunvor Ulstein. "In addition to his market insight, he has good knowledge of the products and systems that we develop and deliver. He will strengthen our management team and develop the company further." Hide calls the Ulstein Group "a very exciting company" and says that had his first job with Ulstein in 1980, at Ulstein Smevik in Herøy, where he stayed for three years and took his mechanical certificate. Hide is a graduate mechanical engineer from Horten Engineering School. Ulstein Power & Control AS is an international supplier of advanced control and monitoring systems, communication solutions and power systems to the maritime market. In addition, the company provides control and monitoring system for industrial and land-based infrastructure.
